The LinuxInstall.org project has unleashed a "Development Release 3.0rc1":

LinuxInstall.org now supports Dual-Boot Configuration. Can a Linux Installer automatically configure Linux for Dual-Boot configuration with Windows? Yes, it can with LinuxInstall.org! It has been pre-configured to support NTFS as well as FAT32 at the time of installation and windows filesystem can be mounted with one easy script.

SoL-diag is a diskless Linux operating system designed for rescue and analysis of i686 type computers. The 36MB image contains over 300 programs which can be used for education on Linux systems.

SoL-diag features linux-kernel 2.4.20 with almost all available kernel modules. With SoL-diag, watching DVD, listening to mp3s and burning CD-RWs is possible without installing Linux on your harddrive.

MandrakeSoft is preparing the second release candidate of Mandrake Linux 9.1. The release number in Mandrake Cooker has been already updated to 9.1 RC 2.

RC2 is the last release candidate before the final release, which is planned for mid-March.

Mandrake 9.1 RC1 has been making the rounds to the mirrors as of around 10:30am CST today... not far from release. A developer on the Cooker list says that 9.1 has been given the feature freeze status and that March 7th is the cutoff date for new releases of packages to make it into 9.1 final.

Saw over at the Red Hat Phoebe mailing list that Red Hat is preparing a new beta of Phoebe (Red Hat 8.1)

The version number of anaconda in rawhide is already 8.0.94 (phoebe beta 2 was 8.0.93)

Lycoris has released Build 68 of Lycoris Desktop/LX beta

What's new:
- fixed SVIdir in keytable init script
- kdeconfig: LANG support in startkde, changed KDEDIR to /opt/kde2
- ktip now shows Desktop/LX Welcome, uses viewlets profile and 48 pixel image, defattr(-, root, root), updated FAQ for helpcenter.
- added khtml security patch

Only the first CD is necessary for the installation.
