The highly anticipated new K3b release 0.12 is finally here. K3b 0.12 features a lot of cool stuff and also fixes many problems that drove user, especially unexperienced, crazy. As always my ChangeLog is not complete and way too large to state in full.

The G System 0.5.1 release is now available

The second release of the G System 0.5 series is now available. Besides fixing some issues in the network layer many functional improvements have been made including a complete database storage layer.

The G System 0.5.1 release provides a more stable and functional release in the 0.5 release series.

May 31, 2005 (The INTERNET). The Kexi Team today announced the immediate availability of Kexi 0.9, codenamed "Shorthorn", the newest release of the integrated environment for managing data.

* Database forms are now officially supported
* Many improvements in handling server databases
* For users' convenience, Tabular Data View's behaviour is similar to Form Data View's behaviour

aKademy 2005 Dates and Call for Papers

KDE's World Summit, aKademy 2005, will be held in the University of Málaga [http://www.uma.es] from Saturday 27th of August to Sunday 4th of September. The summit starts with a 2 day user conference followed by a 2 day developers conference then a week long coding marathon. Kst 1.1.0 has been released:

G System 0.5.0 BETA 2 has been released

The G System is a free and open source simulation framework and virtual reality. The framework provides network distributed operation, which allows for huge simulations.

The virtual reality created with the G System, called G Universe, focuses on evolution, thus creating a virtual, multi-user, evolving universe with both adventurous and scientific aspects.

This second BETA release, one week after the first, includes some bug fixes and numerous improvements over the first BETA release, including:

* G Universe Client initialisation fixed
* Full XMPP/Jabber Instant Messaging support (see below)
* Protocol improvements, corrections and many optimizations
* Smoother camera movement
