Hello Everyone, I installed Mandrake 10. 1 successfully. In the process I found that my D-link DWL-520+ wireless internet connection isn't working. I've read about the solution, but for the life of me, can't figure out how to get it working.

My wife's father gave us a Canon PowerShot A85 digital camera for Christmas. On the back of the box it stated you could use it with Windows and Mac. I've never fooled with digital cameras in my life, let alone knew how to download the image files to a computer.

ARGH! I have installed Fedora Core 2. 6 on a dual partition on a single HDD with XP. Since the computers windows based it has a winmodem. Now I know most people will tell me that Im stupid and should show the piece of junk out.

Hi everyone, I am quite new to Linux and have been looking for a distro that would work on my PC. Of all my attempts, the only one that has worked is Redhat 9. 2 which a friend of mine sent to me. However I would have preffered Mandrake/Suse Linux.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what sort of hotswap kit to get for an existing tower server? The only requirements for it are that it be bottom mountable in a 5. 25 drive bay and that it is Serial ATA.

bold textitalic textI have a gigabyte pcx5300 pci express display adaptor which has a linux driver on its cd. My linux mandrake version is 9. 0 and it doesnt recognize the card with any nvidia chipsets.

Hi, have been trying to get my cannon i250 to actually print but with no joy! Other sites have suggested that it might run under one of the other printer drivers supplied with the community edition of Mandrake 10.
Suse Linux 9.1 & ATI Install Problems

Has anyone been able to install a Linux (Suse 9. 1 Pro) distribution with an ATI X800 Pro? My attempts end with a hang on hardware detection. I was partially successful once with a manual install, but video was ugly in VESA mode.

Hi all. I am trying to get the inbuilt network card on a Gigabyte GA-K8NS to work with Suse 9. 1. All features on the mobo work except the LAN. Suse will not detect the card, and I was wondering if anyone else had any success with this mobo.

Hi there. I hear no sound on my laptop. My os is linux mandrake 10 community, my soundcard works as i can check with harddrake - it is a sis 7012. I think the problem is with kmix driver: if I open it and I ask him for the supported hardware it says supported hardware ALSA 0.

Hello there. I'm having a little problem with my sound. I'm running Mandrake 10. 0 and I have ALSA 1. 0. 7 installed. My sound card is Hercules Muse XL. The problem I have is that the sound seems a bit, well, wrong! It's like the bass is cranked to the max or as if I had extremely dusty speakers.

hi, im new and i live in NZ. ok i have mandrake linux comunity 10. 0 and everything was fine till i found out that i couldn't connect to the net because the module for the modem was not found in mandrake's control center.

I have a new install of Mandrake 10. 1 and am quite new to Linux in general. I am behind a KVM that I have had for about 2 years which worked fine for a RedHat installation I used to have. The KVM has no brand name on it, but appears to be an older version of this KVM ( ).

Hi all, unfortunately FedoraC3 supports only Dual Head for ATI 9800pro. Did anybody gets a ATI- Card run in Big Desktop- mode without deinstalling Xorg and installing XFree86? TIA Kind regards.
