Nvidia drivers with SuSE 9.2

I have recently downloaded the latest nvidia drivers for my Geforce FX 5200. I installed them like i did with other distros but X would not start, so ireviewed the website again. I found the steps to take in order to install them on SuSE but i still have the same problem.

installing fedora 3 and ubuntu

hello,i am new to the linux world, well i am interested in learning and trying out fedora 3 and ubuntu due to its popularity in the linux community, so i would like to install both of them on a seperate hard disk as i have windows xp on the other, so please help me out.

Hi there, I know that there have been previous posts about the SB Audigy 2 card, but I'm totally new to linux and am confused!! I have Fedore Core 3, and my SB Audidy 2 Value card isn't even being recognised by the system.

I've found very limited information about this online, only that it seems to be the only Mobility Radeon chip that is not supported at all. I don't know what progress has been made and I don't know if this chip has other names.

Java programming in GNU/Linux

I'm currently learning Java now as a module in school and I'm using Eclipse IDE in FC2. I compiled this piece of code in Sun's J2SE compiler and it works fine but it doesn't compile under GCJ. package lab2; import javax.

Network works but not internet!

Hi, I'm a noob in Linux. I've installed Fedora Core 3 on my computer (Laptop ECS g733, p4 2. 4, 512 ram, all components SIS). It works great! I still have some problem finding things but it's ok. The only problem is that I just can't connect on the internet.

Fedora core 3 black screen pronblem....

Im new to linux and know basicly nothing about command promts. . when i go to install FC3 i get as far as the setup checking all my componants. . it gives a list MOUSE FOUND: PS2 blah. . . and under it SCREEN: Unknown.

I prefer buying DVD, if the movie is good and the price is right (read: cheap ). I have once been in theaters and the movie was Star Wars - The Phantom Menace, so i am not so movie freak who sits on theaters.

FC3 Blackscreen

Hi all of you, I installed FC3 on its own disk. Went very well. I used YUM to update after install. A slug of them were ready. No problems with that. When i reboot just before desk top i get a msg that says it couldnt find (comcastnet) and i should add it to host names and might be ok.

Hi PPL. I have a prob, when i´m saving pics on the web they arent saved normaly, i can save. GIF pics normaly but when i´m trying 2 save. jpg or. jepg they become. BMP and have no name anyone know what 2 do yo fix the problem?!.

I am trying to install Fedora 1 (because I want a 2. 4 kernal, open to other distro suggestions ) but originally crashed my system when started installing.
