Ive played both games and i really dont know! I in my opinoin prefer counter strike beacause it has less glitches than rainbow 3. What do you think?.

Shell script for more than one command

I'm sure the answer is out there, but I don't seem to be googling for the answer correctly and I keep coming up empty. How do you run more than one command in a shell script so that one command runs immediately after another is completed? Can a string of commands be run in this way indefinitely? Thanks.

Hi, I need some help with my ip address. I have tried to ping my ip on cmd in run but it looses all the packets in other words as if the ip isnt there. I dont know what to do as i cant sort out my ip and therefore am struggling when trying to create dedicated servers on games etc.

I recently downloaded Red hat Linux 9, this is my first time using/installing any form on linux. I have burned the iso's to CD's and have my bios set to boot from CD, along with 5 gigs free of unpartitioned space.

HELP! My gnome applets don't work.

I just started my FC2 installation up just now and discovered that none of the applets on my toolbar work. The window switcher, terminal etc. . . When i try to restart the applets, i get this error msg, The application wnck-applet has quit unexpectedly.

Hey, I recently got a laptop with ATI mobility radeon 9700, and want to install fedora core 3. When I try to start the installation process nothing happens - black screen. I suppose it is not suppored ? Any tips as to what I should do, or am I out of luck and must wait ?.
Anyone know how to fix in kde....konqueror crashing

Recently upgraded to 3. 3. 1 and now when i go to view wmv files(would pull up my mplayer-plugin) it says nsviewerplugin has crashed. . then doesn't show the video. . . this is new. . havn't found really much on how to fix this.

weird recent errors

Been having some weird error. So let me give the whole background. I was at my comp, and it was going really slow and sluggish, so i thought,oh i'll just restart. . . well when i did i get all these errors: a bunch of numbers following a raw data: then like i\o error, sda sector 130240 and so on.
Networking Fedora Core 2 with Mandrake 10

Hello, I'm trying to run a dhcp network with Fedora Core 2 as my server and Mandrake 10 on client computers. I went to the /etc/sysconfig on the server and wrote the dhcpd. conf file. . . I wrote the file correctly but when I went to a client computer and told it to receive its ip address at boot time through dhcp.

Well I finally took the plunge. I'm posting this from mozilla-firefox which I emerged from Anaconda-Gentoo. If you've not seen it, you can pick up the ISO's. The installation was a breeze! What they've essentially done is take the Red Hat Anaconda install and made it to where it installs a core Gentoo system.

I currently am running a dual-boot configuration with FC2 and Win XP but i would now like to completely remove Win XP and its NTFS partition. Is there any way i can remove the partition and allow FC2 to use it as disk space?.

Hello All, I am trying to install Mandrake 10. 1 on my system but unfortunately the displayed installation menus do not fit onto the screen and therefore the installation menus are corrupted and I cannot select the required graphics card.
