Linux Suse 9.1 with WLAN

Hi all, I've got a little problem, I'm new to the wonderful world of linux, I'm running Suse 9. 1 Pro, my PC specs is P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard with onboard Wifi slot, I got the Wifi-b card with antenna, with XP it work fine but I cant get Linux to even get a signal to my Access Point.

i686 optimized rpms

i was just curious if htere wer e any repositories for fedora core 3 or rpms for that matter optimized and built for the i686 architecture or do these not even exsist i assumed that since yoper has i 686 optimized packages that there might be some for fedora core 3 or could you possibly just use yopers repositories?

Grub Restore

I am trying to Image (Clone) my redhat drive to another smaller drive. I can do the clone process ok, but the boot loader needs to be restored. Is there a way to create a cd or floppy bootdisk from the running system then restore that information to the cloned drive?.

Ok. Here is the question which is better and why? Here is my take: I believe PC is better. My reasons: 1. Better graphics 2. More titles 3. Higher resolutions / FPS 4. More options - MODs, console commands, etc.

Group Permissions

Lets say I created a group called group1 with ten users, user1,user2, etc. When assigning permissions to a folder(s) in linux, is it possible to assign r,w,x with the chmod command for that specified group, and not every group? Or is it the same as just giving ownership of the folder to group1 (chgrp)?.

Hello, I'm using Mepis and my screen savers don't work. i. e. GLmatrix. i haven't tried to run any games but I want me screen savers to work. when I click test screen saver my screen just freezes until I click.

Yoper and menu transparency

Howdy folks I have been messin' round the last days with Yoper, and althought this distro truly rocks, there is one thing I can't get fixed: menu transparency. No matter how often I disable GUI-effects or the menu transparency itself, it get's miraculously enabled again.

Is there any similar game to Stars! from Windows. It is a strategy turn based game where you build spaceships, control research and fly to planets and use their resourcces. Sure you are not alone as other races are also trying to reach some goles.

1. Whenever I change the details on my account for this website, they are never saved, it always reverts back to my original settings, why is this? 2. (This one is kinda unimportant but it helps get the feedback forum rolling again) The four 'ranks' I have seen are; Moderator, Junior Member, Member and Senior Member.

disk quotas

I can't seem to get disk quotas running with Redhat9. Everytime I modify the fstab file the machine will say, during reboot, it's dropping to a shell, in which case I run init 5 and change the fstab file back to the way it was.
