Konsole doesn't work in X11

Hey - this is the first time I have encountered a problem like this. Whenever I try to start any kind of shell or konsole, it opens fine, and menus and such work, but there is no way to type. The text portion remains blank.

What is a good motherboard for a AMD Athlon 64 3200?

Hi. I am thinking about purchasing an AMD Athlon 64 3200 processor. However, i am having problems finding a compatible motherboard. I need one that optimizes the ability of the Athlon, has at least 5 pci slots, and other goodies.

I'm trying to unlock my files using chmod. But I can't remember where to put the R to unlock all files at once. Like chmod 777 /home R Its been a while since I've been on my Linux box so go easy. Thanks Hollywood.

Just for fun, I downloaded the ISO for Red Hat 6. 2 to see what Linux and Red Hat was like way before I started running it. It is extremely primitive to install by today's standards, although I never could get past the partitioning.

I just purchased a LINUS magazine which came with Fedora Core 2. I also purchased and installed a new hard drive which I have already partitioned into three partitions. I allocated a 55GB partition for LINUX.
