tried this in Mandrake (in 'star'/run program/ md5sum <name> and once i pressed run nothing happened. No window opened, nothing. Help? P. S. Sry, posted originally in wrong topic. .

How to check ISO with MD5sum ?

How do you check an ISO image that you downloaded ? I see that there is some MDsum or MD5sum for this purpose but I have no idea what to do. Thanks.

red hat 9 wont reboot from console

i have a red hat 9 box which i am remotely accessing using VNC, however i cannot get it to reboot using the reboot or shutdown -r commands in console. it says that the system is going down for reboot, then doesnt come back.

I've been a loyal reader of NTCompatible. com since it's true NT days - back when we were really trying to get games to run under NT 4. 0 workstation or NT 4. 0 server. I usually check NTCompatible. com every weekday just to see what reviews might be new on the internet or for other hardware news.

mplayer problem

Whenever i select mplayer to play a video file, i get this fatal error msg : Error opening/initializing the selected video_out(-vo) device. anybody can help me solve this problem??.

Another Proble,m with Mandrake 10

I have a problem with Linux MANDRAKE 10. . . when i boot from cd. . . when he search and test hardware he send me a mesage that is something wrong with hda1 (no working with 20 GB MMAXTOR or 10 GB IBM ) But run normaly wit old disk WD 1.

Hi I can't seem to get any cds to play any music using the cd player even though the cd drive and sound card are working (I can hear all the test sounds and installed Red Hat by cd). I'm running Red Hat 9.
