Hello I am trying to set up a dual boot system with Windows XP on one HDD and Red Hat 9 on a second one. Originally, my computer just had Windows XP Home installed on it, and only one HDD. Since I do not have the time to back up all my information, or do any reinstalls of Windows, I decided to play it safe.

I noticed on Matrox's website that they have drivers listed for Rehat versions of Linux. I would prefer to run SuSe or Mandrake. Has anyone sucessfully run a Parhelia in one of the above mentioned Distro's? I have noticed in SuSe that the opening screen is all scrambled with the Parhelia.

1st post! trying to get webmin to run a couple of game servers. Enemy Territory to be specific. But after closing the webmin browser window, the server will die after a couple of mins, OR whenever the first person tries to connect.

OK so I'm fairly new to this whole open-source Linux deal and recently aquired RedHat 9. Dual boots quite well with Windows XP so I was impressed in that aspect. What I want to do now is upgrade my default load of KDE to the newest version 3.

hey there! I have one basic question. I use Suse 8. 2 Prof. . with KDE. . So if I want to change a file in e. g. etc/x11 or somewhere where I need administration rights (root), how do I get those without logging out and again log in as a root? also opening a console and typing in the su command doesn't help me.

I had tried everything, and I cant set-up my Presario 3000 (3017CL) with Mandrake 9. 1, I still got problems with the modem, and networking hardware. I think that I had to wait a little longer for newer Mandrake copies to try again.
