A press release from No Starch Press:

No Starch Press Sponsors CodeCon 2006, One of the Few True Hacker
Conferences

February 8, 2006, San Francisco—For the fourth year in a row, No Starch
Press will sponsor CodeCon (www.codecon.org), internationally recognized
as the premier showcase of cutting-edge software development. Being held
February 10-12 at StudioZ in San Francisco’s South of Market district,
CodeCon gives programmers a forum for demonstrating their work and
keeping abreast of what’s going on in their community.

CodeCon’s program offers a prescient look at the direction of technology in the digital era and features hacker projects and presentations by active developers of real-world applications with working code. All presentations are given by one of the developers involved and are accompanied by a functional demo.

Tickets will be $85 at the door. StudioZ is located at 314 11th Street, and more information and directions are available at www.studioz.tv.

ABOUT CODECON
Founded in 2002 by Bram Cohen and Len Sassaman, this marks CodeCon's fifth year in existence. The show is known for offering an excellent, low-cost opportunity for programmers to meet and discuss the cutting-edge techniques being developed by the most creative members of their profession.

ABOUT NO STARCH PRESS: Founded in 1994, No Starch Press is one of the few remaining independent computer book publishers. We publish the finest in geek entertainment—unique books on technology, with a focus on Open Source, security, hacking, programming, and alternative operating systems. Our titles have personality, our authors are passionate, and our books tackle topics that people care about. See www.nostarch.com for more. (And by the way, most No Starch Press books use RepKover, a lay-flat binding that won’t snap shut.)
