Kst 1.4.0 has been released

The Kst development team is happy to announce the immediate
availability of Kst 1.4.0, a major update of the real-time data viewing and plotting tool with data analysis functionality. Kst 1.4.0 consists of a KDE 3.4 based application and a set of data analysis and manipulation plugins. Kst ships complete with documentation, and is translated to over 25 languages.
Kst, including all its plugins and documentation, is available for free
under Open Source licenses. Kst can be obtained in source and numerous binary formats from http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/ .



Release Highlights.
- New data manager dialog
- Dialog enhancements, including search support
- Various improvements in label support
- Basic support for metadata from data sources
- New C++ based plugin scheme
- Introduction of hierarchical naming for data objects and primitives
- Extensive bug fixes

Packaging Policies.
Kst is distributed by the developers in source form only. Several individuals have provided third party binary packages for various Linux and UNIX operating systems and KDE combinations. These packages are available for free download from KDE's download servers at http://download.kde.org/stable/apps/KDE3.x/scientific/. These packages are provided for your convenience only, and are not supported by the Kst developers.
