A press release from Computer Lab International, Inc.:

A New, Cost-Effective, Highly Adaptable, Linux Thin Client Unveiled Today From Computer Lab International (CLI)

The MT1500t rounds out the MT1500 series of thin clients using the Linux operating system

PLACENTIA, CA – March 16, 2005 –Today, Computer Lab International, Inc. (CLI), a leading provider of thin client and text terminal products introduces the MT1500t, a new member to the established MT1500 series of thin clients.

Using the stable and secure Mandrake Linux embedded operating system, the MT1500t provides the user with unsurpassed adaptability and ease-of-use. The MT1500t has multiple terminal emulations to access mainframe, midrange, UNIX, Linux and other legacy applications, as well as Firefox browser to access Web-based applications, with Sun Java Virtual Machine (JVM). X Windows for graphical UNIX applications is also on board, as are Citrix ICA and RDP protocols to access Windows applications.

As with all of the thin clients in the MT1500 series, the MT1500t comes bundled with CLI SNMP Administrator software to provide administrators complete control of all CLI desktops; and consumes less than five watts of power when under normal operation, making it ideal for reducing energy consumption costs. Its small size allows for mounting on the back of a VESA-compliant monitor for optimal space-savings.

Standard configuration of the MT1500 series comes complete with a keyboard, mouse and a three-year warranty. Many options are available, including monitor, keyboard and warranty upgrades. All are available for immediate shipment through CLI resellers worldwide.
