Works better in Linux than in Windows XP! Does require some somewhat complicated setup on Slackware 10 (kernel 2.6.8).

Works ok under RH9 and FC2, Knoppix 3.2, Linspire Live. Does not work with Ubuntu Live or 4.0 or with Knoppix 3.8.

Although windows wants it on COM 3 (ttyS2), Ubuntu says it's at ttyS14. Works just fine, once you find it.
