the PCI_MSI option needs to be enabled in order to install the drivers. by default in slackware 12.2, and possibly older versions, this is off. set it as built-in, compile, reboot and reinstall the ati drivers. using the included 2.6.27.7 kernel is fine. enjoy! :)

MSI=Message Signaled Interrupts

also, i noticed that when using the vesa drivers colors get fscked up. i use vga console when outside X, so it doesn't bother me.

Only main problem is to use the newest drivers you need to recompile your kernel but it works great it overclocks well runs all games no problem so far but as far as the actual hardware goes works no problem at all
