Caveat: even Redhat's latest (7.3) does *not* properly auto-detect nor
handle the interface out of the box. It requires the user to compile the TULIP drivers (on the LINKSYS website) and then do some fairly minimal (although potentially confusing) mucking around with the system configuration(s).
