I have rev. 2.0 of the mainboard and openSUSE 11.1 running.

To get 5.1/7.1 sound working do the following:

1. download the alsa-driver source ( www.alsa-project.org)

2. read file "alsa-kernel/Documentation/HD-Audio-Models.txt" from the tarball

3. choose your prefered ALC888 model option

4. configure "snd-hda-intel" driver (use "modinfo" and "alsa-info.sh" as needed)

I chose the following module options using YaST:
model=3stack-6ch
position_fix=1
bdl_pos_adj=0

"bdl_pos_adj=0" prevents sound gaps (Message "Too many BDL entries" in "dmesg" output - it was 32 before).

Tested against Intrepid. Not able to run audio driver supplied disk under Wine and therefore cannot reconfigure line jacks to allow 5.1/7.1 audio. Not yet tested audio through HDMI or S/PDIF. No other issues found.
