The only thing to do is installing the official binary drivers from NVIDIA. Games like Doom III, Quake 4, OpenArena etc are working, I only have one game under WINE, but it works flawlessly.

this has given me 1600x1200@75Hz on a 19" CRT, and now 1600x1200@85Hz on a 21" CRT.
I have not played any games. Great site!!
