NetoDragon is from Winmodems family, so it doesn't work according to the manufacturer. But I've found out the driver that makes it work. You may download it at: http://www.adrianstaffolani.com.ar/netodragon/slmdm-2.7.10_debug.tar.gz

It really works! NetoDragon works under Linux, in my computer, running Mandrake 8.2 in a P-4

Actually this is a winmodem that the manufacturer doesn't give the driver. But I 've found out the driver that makes it work, in my computer (running Mandrake) works flawlessly! I even didn't changed the source and Makefile header path.

You may download the driver at: http://www.adrianstaffolani.com.ar/netodragon/slmdm-2.7.10_debug.tar.gz

NetoDragon works under Mandrake 10 and kernel 2.*, due to its compatibility with Smlink modems, it is pretty probable that are the same chips with just a different label. I have tested partial open-source drivers from http://www.smlink.com versions 2.9.7 and 2.9.9. Note that version 2.9.9 hangs down the phone (2.9.7 works fine) without notice and unfortunately is the latest and due to the rebuilding of the site it is the only avalaible at this time.

I've just installed a Netodragon modem with the help of the community and everything is working fine. It's the first time I'm in the Net using Linux.

Modem works with mb asrock k7s41 - k7s41gx Mandrake 10.0. The Modem works great . What i did was basically:

download driver: http://www.netodragon.com/slmodem-2.9.10_netodragon.tar.gz
-install kernel sources (for mandrake in the rpm manager)
-unpack the downloaded file
-in the directory where you unpacked run (from console)
$ make
-as 'root' user run:
# make install
(the following needs to be run once before start dialing as 'root' user to)
# modprobe slamr
# /usr/sbin/slmodemd --country=USA /dev/slamr0

the last command will give you the modem port ( /dev/... ). You must use this to configure your ppp dialup program (kppp for example). you can run the ppp dialup program as a normal user.

just dial and your're done
