Totem is movie player for the Gnome desktop based on xine-lib or GStreamer. It features a playlist, a full-screen mode, seek and volume controls, as well as a pretty complete keyboard navigation.

It comes with added functionality such as:
- Video thumbnailer for GNOME
- Nautilus properties tab
- Mozilla plugin



Requirements
------------

- GNOME 2.10

And for the backend:
- xine-lib 1.0 or better
or
- gstreamer 0.8.x

Major changes since 1.0.x

- Remove the use of libnautilus-burn and the CD device selection, the CD
drives are now listed directly in the Movie menu
- Better handling of a number of playlist formats (ASX, and ASF mainly),
including support for parsing device nodes
- Better volume button
- Playlist moved to a sidebar
- Use Musicbrainz to get metadata information for audio CDs
- Major improvements to the Mozilla plugin (including use of D-Bus for
Mozilla plugin/viewer interaction)
- Major enhancement to the GStreamer backend's media support (subtitles
and audio tracks switching, better CD playback)
- Better error handling and memory usage reductions in the xine-lib
backend
