Biggest names in business named to advisory board The Document Foundation (TDF) has appointed an advisory board to steer the development of projects like the open source LibreOffice application suite.



Representatives from Google, SUSE, Red Hat, the Free Software Foundation (FSF), Freies Office Deutschland and Software in the Public Interest will sit on the board and provide material support, proposals for developments and provides advice on specific issues.

"The creation of TDF's advisory board is a great step forward for the organization," said Jeremy Allison, co-founder of Samba and member of Google's open source programs office.
