Red Hat's RHEL operating system has enjoyed considerable success in businesses and the firm has been churning out minor updates to RHEL 6 over the last 18 months. RHEL 6.3 concentrates on improving virtual CPU and RAM limits for virtual machines and includes OpenJDK 7.

Red Hat has also packed a number of software and driver updates into RHEL 6.3, including GCC optimisations for Intel's Xeon E5 processor. The firm also highlighted support for two-factor authentication and AES-CTR encryption in OpenSSH.
