ADATA SX8200 Pro 512GB NVMe SSD Review
ADATA tapped Silicon Motion's new SM2262EN controller to build a premium NVMe SSD that should live at the top of the performance charts for most of 2019. The new SX8200 Pro 1TB was already tested but faced worthy competition from the older HP EX920 with strong software optimizations.

AMD announces the Radeon VII at CES 2019
Vega 7nm GPU with 60 CUs, coming Feb. 7th for $699. At its CES 2019 keynote, AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, has unveiled AMD's first 7nm gaming GPU, the Radeon VII (seven).

While we still do not have a lot of details, the Radeon VII comes with 60 Compute Units (CUs), running at up to 1.8GHz. AMD was also keen to note that the Radeon VII offers 25 percent more performance at the same power, most likely compared to the previous Vega-based graphics cards.

AMD previews 3rd gen Ryzen at CES 2019
Up and running with Radeon VII. In addition to details regarding 2nd generation EPYC CPUs, AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, also gave a preview of its 3rd generation Ryzen CPU.

While it still did not talk about precise specifications, AMD did debunk some of the previous rumors that the 3rd generation Ryzen might not be using the so-called chiplet design, as the chip proudly shown by Dr. Su, was the 8-core/16-thread SKU based on the same chiplet design, with 7nm Zen 2 die and I/O die, same design we saw with AMD Rome.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X & 2970WX Review
The first is AMD's Ryzen Threadripper 2920X, a 12-core, 24-thread model that's ostensibly similar to the 1st Gen. 1920X. Modifications to AMD's Precision Boost technology means that its headline (non-XFR) Turbo mode now reaches 4.3GHz from 4.0GHz and will maintain a higher clock speed across all cores for longer.
