The BIOS mine came with had a bug that would prevent suspend from working with a 64bit OS and >= 4GB of memory (which I had). After updating to the latest BIOS (at least 1402) suspend works fine (running Ubuntu 8.10).
The BIOS was easily upgradable thanks to EZ Flash 2, you just need a FAT32 formatted USB drive.
