It's time to keep up with the crowd and try the latest Ubuntu. If you haven't tried it yet, you're in for a color-treat. As is often the case with Ubuntu, the Canonical designers have made Lucid Lynx LTS, 10.04's "code" name, visually stunning. And, as usual, if you don't agree, you can change it.
I tested this new Ubuntu release on an HP Desktop (1 year old) with 2 GB of memory and 350 GB HD. I actually upgraded this machine from 8.04 step-by-step (8.10, 9.04, 9.10, 10.04). No glitches.
