Ubuntu Gamer takes a quick look at Steel Storm, an indie top down action shooter
Occasionally I'll bump into a game that draws me in from the get go. Mind you this doesn't happen very often and it usually doesn't happen with AAA titles (Heavy Rain being the exception). Steel Storm is an indie game from a developer called "Kot-in-Action Creative Artel" and have used an engine called DarkSpaces which is a derivative of the Quake 3 engine.
