Setting up GnuPG encryption in KDE

BitBender has posted a how-to article about "Setting up GnuPG encryption in KDE"




Public key encryption is the technology that provides strong cryptography to everyone and their brother. "There are two kinds of cryptography in this world: cryptography that will stop your kid sister from reading your files, and cryptography that will stop major governments from reading your files." --Bruce Schneier.

Most people have never used encryption before, or set up their key pair, I documented the process of creating my public / secret key pair for the Mandrake 10.0 distribution in the KDE, and the steps that I had to take to get there, without using the command line, other linux distributions should be just as easy to setup.
