"1. UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM OFTEN!
While Linux security is generally better than Windows, any system not properly maintained will be insecure. If you think "I wont ever get cracked" or "My system is not important, why would people want to crack me?, please read My System Isn't Important.... Perhaps it was inconvenient to keep up with security in the past, there are two convenient ways of keeping your Red Hat system updated at all times with minimal effort. Keep updating. It is fast and easy."
