Java database Daffodil DB v4.1 released with performance enhancements

Daffodil DB v4.1 has been released. Here the announcement:

Daffodil Software a leading provider of java based database solutions today announced the release of version 4.1 of its popular Java database - Daffodil DB (http://www.daffodildb.com/).

Daffodil DB is a J2EE-certified, JDBC 3.0 and SQL 99 compliant Java database. It has been designed to handle complex computing environments that demand a robust, scalable and high-performance RDBMS that can operate across platforms in both embedded and network mode.




The most significant advancement made in this version is the performance boost-up with Compiere, an advanced level Open Source ERP + CRM solution. The new features introduced in Version 4.1 include performance enhancements at JDBC Driver level. Daffodil DB v4.1 is an effort to address customer demand for increased database performance and improved usability in database critical applications. With Daffodil DB v4.1, developers can increase production usage through improved database performance.

Daffodil DB v4.1 includes performance enhancements for the following functionalities:

* Prepared Statement caching for Select Queries at JDBC Driver level

* Select Query with Order By clause

* Retrieving objects from java.sql.ResultSet

* Select Query with User Defined Functions

* Time reduction in Index Navigation

Apart from the performance enhancements few known bugs have also been fixed in Daffodil DB v4.1.
