GNOME 2.23.3 has been released
That's incredible! GNOME 2.23.3 is released in time! That's really a huge event! Oh, wait, we've been doing this for a long time already... Okay, the big thing in this release is that we fixed many bugs! Hrm, you're used to this too... But does all this mean this release is boring? Of course not, it just means we don't realize how much good work we're constantly doing :-) So just think about it and hug a GNOME contributor! If you don't know who to hug, I heard that Christian Persch is a good candidate...
You all know what you have to do now. Go download it. Go compile it. Go test it. And go hack on it, document it, translate it, fix it.
To compile GNOME 2.23.3, you can use GARNOME (which supports users and has additional/different modules available), or the jhbuild modulesets (which use the exact tarball versions from the official
release):

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
--------------------------
This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development status.
For more information about 2.23, the full schedules, the official modules list and the proposed modules list, please see our 2.23 page:
