Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 12/23/2007 10:28 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

The GNOME 2.21.4 Development Release is now available:

This is the third release of the GNOME 2.21.x series, heading towards the stable GNOME 2.22.x release. More information about new development can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/RoadMap

Lots of new development has started already Please test this as much as you can and file bugs in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ if you want them fixed before the stable release.

Note that we are currently are in string + UI change announcement periods, meaning:
- String Change Announcement Period: All string changes must be announced to both gnome-i18n@ and gnome-doc-list@.
- UI Change Announcement Period: All user interface changes must be announced to gnome-doc-list@.

To compile GNOME 2.21.4, you can use GARNOME (http://www.gnome.org/projects/garnome/, which supports users and has additional/different modules available), or the jhbuild (http://www.gnome.org/~jamesh/jhbuild.html) modulesets (which use the exact tarball versions from the official release) available at: http://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/2.21.4/

The release notes that describe the changes between 2.21.3 and 2.21.4 are available. Go read them to learn all the goodness of this release:
