GNOME 2.19.92 (GNOME 2.20.0 Release Candidate)
GARNOME 2.19.92 (2.20.0 Release Candidate)
This is our ninth development release and first release candidate for GNOME 2.20.0, which will be released later this month. This release is the last before hard code freeze starts on september 10th. Please test this as much as you can and file bugs in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ if you want them fixed before the final release.
To compile GNOME 2.19.92, you can use GARNOME (http://www.gnome.org/projects/garnome/, which supports users and has additional/different modules available), or the jhbuild (http://www.gnome.org/~jamesh/jhbuild.html) modulesets (which use the exact tarball versions from the official release) available at: http://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/2.19.92/
The release notes that describe the changes between 2.19.91 and 2.19.92 are available. Go read them to learn all the goodness of this release:

--------------------------
This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development status.
For more information about 2.19, the full schedule, the official module lists and the proposed modules list, please see our 2.19 page: http://www.gnome.org/start/unstable/ or take a look at the abbreviated schedule reminder page at http://live.gnome.org/Schedule

GARNOME 2.19.92 (2.20.0 Release Candidate)
We are pleased to announce the release of GARNOME 2.19.92 Desktop and Developer Platform. This release includes all of GNOME 2.19.92 plus a bunch of updates that were released after the GNOME freeze date.
This is the last release in the unstable cycle, with nothing but fixes added. It is for anyone who wants to get his hands dirty on the development branch, or who'd like to get a peek at future features.
The next big dot-zero release is due in a fortnight, September 19.
As usual, you can get the tarball directly from the gnome.org site:
http://download.gnome.org/sources/garnome/2.19/
Note: GNOME 2.19.x is an unstable branch and is assumed to be a moving target. Therefore, things in this release may not work as advertised.
If you find any issues with this release, feel free to contact the GARNOMEies in the #garnome channel on GIMPNet (irc://irc.gnome.org), where we hang out, or post to the mailing list.
More information is available at our project website: http://www.gnome.org/projects/garnome/
Enjoy,
The GARNOME Team
