Evolution 2.1 is an unstable development series. It will upgrade your existing 1.4 install, but currently does not need to upgrade your 2.0 install to work.

Known Issues:
1) We've had reports of crashes moving from 2.0 to 2.1 but nothing we've
been able to track down. If you have this problem and are building from
source especially, give us a back trace. If this happens you can go
back to 2.0 no problem currently as no data is modified.

2) Some people have reported issues with druids/wizards and gtk 2.6,
both us and the gtk guys are looking at this

3) Composer may crash when closing (fixed in 2.1.3.1)

4) Can't edit signatures (fixed in 2.1.3.1)

5) Build fix for new-mail-notify plugin (fixed in 2.1.3.1)
