Terence Haddock has released a free ASP server for Linux
The ArrowHead ASP Server is an 100% Java VBScript scripting engine. ArrowHead aims to support ASP 3.1.
The current version supports very basic ASP. It does not support VBScript objects, for instance, and supports only Scripting.Dictionary, and basic ADODB statements. However, there is a really good interface to Java objects, and it is easily extended. If your ASP script does not rely on too many COM objects (other than basic ADODB and Scripting.Dictionary), you should have good results.
ArrowHead has been tested under the following environment:
- Red Hat Linux 7.3
- Jakarta Tomcat 4.0.4 (Light Edition)
- Sun SDK 1.4.0
