A Week with Fedora Core 1

Welcome to the first installment of a new series. During this project, I'll be installing several Linux distributions, running them each for a week, and keeping a daily journal. I'm pretty excited about this, especially since a machine was recently purchased for this specific function. This is a pretty standard machine that's a few years old, and likely to be fairly typical of someone's first Linux machine. It's not top of the line, but by no means a slouch and should be able to run any Linux distribution fairly comfortably. Please keep in mind that this series will show my experiences only. Your mileage may vary.
