Intel Core i3-3220 v. Intel Core i3-3225 Review @ MissingRemote
As interesting as the third generation of Intel Core integrated processor graphics (IPG) were when they arrived in April, as home theater PC (HTPC) enthusiasts it was disappointing that the more applicable two core/four thread models were not available. We gleaned what we could about the minor processing improvements and major changes to the graphic processing unit (GPU) from the Core i7-3770K / Core i7-3770S, but as those were overkill for this space there are still many unanswered questions around how the six execution unit (EU) HD 2500 compares to sixteen EU HD 4000 and, perhaps more importantly, how 22nm Ivy Bridge (IVB) CPUs compare against the previous generation of Sandy Bridge (SNB) IPG with similar power requirements. To achieve these goals two 3.3 GHz, 55W Core i3s were tested; with only the GPU separating them – at least on the specifications sheet – let’s dig into the Intel Core i3-3220 and Intel Core i3-3225 and find out which is the better option for your next HTPC.
Nokia Lumia 810 and Lumia 820 Review @ HotHardware
Microsoft and its partners were pushing Windows Phone 8-based smartphones hard this holiday season. In a market that's already crowded with plenty of great Android and iOS options, Microsoft and its partners definitely have their work cut out for them. Given its touch-friendly features, unique UI, and personalization options though, Windows Phone 8 is getting a second look from a lot of people.
If you're in the market for a new smartphone in the post-holiday season, you'll have a few Windows Phone 8 smartphone options to consider, including the new Lumia 810 which is exclusive to T-Mobile and the Lumia 820 which is exclusive to AT&T. These new Windows Phone 8 smartphones come with all of the Windows Phone 8 features you'd expect as well as some additional software from Nokia that is designed to bolster the capabilities of the phones. We'll discuss these features more in the coming pages of this review. Both of these phones have similar specifications with only minor differences. The majority of our hands-on look in this review is with the Lumia 810, but keep in mind that most of what we say will apply to the Lumia 820 as well.
The OCZ Vector SSD is based on a brand-new Indilinx Barefoot 3 controller which is a 100% in-house development by OCZ. We see outstanding steady state performance and excellent real-life results from this new drive that will strengthen OCZ's position in the SSD market.
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand Platinum 700W Power Supply Review @ Legit Reviews
Thermaltake recently launched the Toughpower Grand Platinum 700W and 600W power supplies. These PSUs are 80 PLUS Platinum certified, which means they are up to 94% efficiency. When it comes to features, they have a massive single +12V rail, modular cable design, and a patented 14cm flower-shape fan with FanDelayCool Technology. Today we will be having a look at the Toughpower Grand Platinum 700W, a product boasting a very long list of features and a unique appearance.
With a MSRP price of $189.99 at the time of this review, the Toughpower Grand Platinum is one of the most expensive 700W power supplies available in the market; however, the high price could be possibly justified by the number of features and the performance of this unit. The list of features of the Toughpower Grand Platinum is so long that we simply cannot list them all in a single paragraph; however, we feel that the major highlights of this power supply are the 80Plus Platinum certification, the 7-year long manufacturer's warranty and its unique...
Sling Media Slingbox 500 Review @ TechReviewSource.com
The Slingbox 500 is a streaming media device that streams video from your TV or DVR to your PC, smartphone or tablet at full 1080p HD resolution. It does this all without any monthly fees and without the need for annoying external IR blasters. One downside is the smartphone and tablet apps cost a fee to download.

Did you see those fans Dyson was promoting a year ago or so? Bladeless fans, well NZXT has made something similar by releasing a bladeless laptop cooler. The Cryo V60 has no visible fans and no fanblades you are going to have to worry about, but how well does it work?
PowerColor's HD 7870 showed some serious overclocking prowess with a significant boost in core clock speed with a smaller boost in the overall memory clock speed. By using MSI's Afterburner utility I was able to boost the clock speed on the core by 255MHz over the baseline non-boosted clock speed of 925MHz. That in itself is a 27%+ boost in clock speed without the ability to tweak the voltage outside of adjusting the power limit. The memory overclocking was a bit subdued with a 112MHz bump over the factory 1500MHz or just over 7%. In each and every benchmark the clock speed increases offered up significant FPS or scoring improvements that add performance for your dollar. To ensure stability I did increase the fan speed to 100% to keep the GPU as cool as it could be under load. With just the single fan and smallish heat sink the temperatures were higher than I was expecting but still low enough to stabilize the overclocks.
Assassin’s Creed III continues the events of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, where Desmond, Rebecca, Shaun and his father William have entered the temple ruins of the first civilization. After briefly exploring, Desmond collapses from a bleed-through effect and the team quickly puts him back into the Animus where he is taken back to the events of his ancestor Haytham Kenway.
The year is 1754; Haytham has just arrived at England’s Royal Opera House, where he’s setting out to procure an amulet from another patron – one that’s believed to be a key for opening a temple belonging to the first civilization. This section of the game wraps up a tutorial for climbing and free running, and once completed, Haytham boards a ship bound for America. During the voyage you’ll learn basic combat, investigatory skills and get to play a few mini games.
Cooler Master Storm Scout 2 Case Review @ Techspot
It's been four years since Cooler Master unveiled its "CM Storm" sub-brand, which is now home to a strong lineup of enthusiast-oriented products including keyboards, mice, mouse pads, headsets and, of course, cases. Currently, the CM Storm chassis family includes the Sniper, Scout, Stryker, Enforcer and Trooper -- the last two of which we've found to be a tremendous value, especially the $80 Enforcer.
Updating one of its existing designs, Cooler Master recently launched yet another enthusiast-friendly CM Storm chassis, the Scout 2, which is priced at just $90 -- slightly less than the venerable HAF 922. Despite its relatively low price, the Scout 2 has plenty to offer, including ergonomic steel-reinforced carrying handles, USB 3.0 support and room for up to two SSDs, nine fans and any graphics card around.
