GtkSourceView is a library which extends Gtk+'s text widget providing syntax highlighting and other features typical of a source editor.

GtkSourceView 1.6.0 is the new stable release of the library, it features various bugfixes and support for more languages. It requires at least Gtk+ 2.8.0, it's backward compatible with previous releases and works both on linux/unix and on Microsoft Windows.
