Submitted by Jeff on 05/05 This product is not working under Linux Comments: This Monarch whitebox came with Suse 9.2 apparently functioning properly, however several reproducable scenarios would put the system into a hard freeze momentarily and cause it to power down spontaneously. This included builds of medium-large packages, audio/video playback, OpenGL games. Sent it back as an RMA to Monarch after it became unnusable, and they determined that the system was diagnostically fine, but had problems with Linux. However I'm not sure if that was Suse specific. The system got to the point where I couldn't even install another distro on it. I'm somewhat skeptical about their conclusions. |
