It works just fine. However, you need to know that when Ubuntu (10.04) autodetects your printer there's no "driver" for that particular printer. The obvious alternative would have been to select the T20 driver, but unfortunately it does not work. To make it work, you need to select the Epson Stylus CX5600 (simplified) CUPS driver from the list of possible alternatives that appears when Ubuntu autodetects the printer.

It seems that the USB communication to this printer does not work. Alone lsusb does not work with it, and dmesg tells me something like "control timeout on ep0in" But this printer is also not listed on HPs compatibility page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productslj.php\

CD/DVD drive fails to work with standard install disks, issues "media not found" errors. The network chipset is not well supported by linux kernel drivers (2.6.27), have to download the Realtek drivers which only compile as a module (therefore you cannot do diskless booting). However, the hardware is very nice.

Bought lot of four IBM NetVista 6794, one would not boot CentOS4 (RHEL4) at all -- froze during both liveCD and install CD. On the other hand, two worked fine no problems. Either one system had flaky hardware, or else there were significant BIOS/motherboard variations through the life of the NetVista 6794 product line and some work with linux and some don't. Amusingly one of the systems had Windows XP refuse to install while CentOS installed fine! Never had that happen before!

To be able to use most Lexmark printers, you need to download the drivers from here. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=679505 these drivers work with the X600series, but are known to work with most Lexmark colour inkjets

Plugged in and Fedora Core 5 recognised it and auto-mounted it. Filesystem was vfat on receipt, so great for Windows /Linux transfers Only "problem" was the free space was given as 466GB, not 500GB. Maybe a re-format would fix it?
