It seems that the USB communication to this printer does not work. Alone lsusb does not work with it, and dmesg tells me something like "control timeout on ep0in" But this printer is also not listed on HPs compatibility page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productslj.php\

To be able to use most Lexmark printers, you need to download the drivers from here. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=679505 these drivers work with the X600series, but are known to work with most Lexmark colour inkjets

Plugged in and Fedora Core 5 recognised it and auto-mounted it. Filesystem was vfat on receipt, so great for Windows /Linux transfers Only "problem" was the free space was given as 466GB, not 500GB. Maybe a re-format would fix it?

Tried with the following (Mandrake 8.2 & Red Hat 9) but none would detect the NIC, tried the one onboard, one PCI from Startech.com (wich I know worked on another system), but nothing, nada zip. In Mandrake it would tell me it's down, in RH it won't even be detected.
