It seems that the USB communication to this printer does not work. Alone lsusb does not work with it, and dmesg tells me something like "control timeout on ep0in" But this printer is also not listed on HPs compatibility page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productslj.php\

Only thing that might not work is tv-out.I have not tried it. Mepis recognizes only one processor, while I have a dual-core, I do not really care. DVD+rw is spinning too fast when inserted. I had also problems with burning data (iso, movies) on dvd in k3b. maybe trying a different program solves the problem, because I could burn cd's(audio-cd and iso) These are minor issues you do not even notice while operating. I can live with it. Soundcard, headphones, motherboard, wifi are working fine.

MSI K8NGM2-FID Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. Works great in fc5, which seems to have detected everything. I used SATA II drives with it, but no raid yet.

Worked at my first attempt on SuSE 8.2. I simply configured the scanner from YAST2 and then launched XScanImage. It previewed and scanned correctly one color image at 300 dpi

S3 Savage4 chipset. Works under Linux. Although, I had to select a generic Savage driver to get it to work right.

Hot diggity. Took a bit of time to get it going but this Z740, a brand new model (as of March 2005) does work under gtkam as a USB PTP Class Camera, per previous reports of what to use with these newer EasyShare digital cameras. This model came with the EasyShare Printer Dock Series 3 and the camera was docked with the USB connected to the printer/dock (not the camera). You have to push the button with the computer icon on the dock and turn on the camera to get the communications going and gtkam should detect it at some point (the dock icon will start blinking when something is happening). Some of the other Linux camera programs will eventually detect as well (eg., Kamera & Digikam). It took a bit to get the communications going but it did finally get going and I could transfer pictures over to my PC running Suse 9, using gtkam.
