It seems that the USB communication to this printer does not work. Alone lsusb does not work with it, and dmesg tells me something like "control timeout on ep0in" But this printer is also not listed on HPs compatibility page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productslj.php\

Works great. Only issue is that there is no "Parallel ATA" support for the Promise RAID/SATA controller. The IDE connections are there and they work under windows, but not in linux.

This parallel port scanner has a proprietary protocol Agfa refuses to open. Too bad. The Windows driver software runs in VMware, however, and maybe it works in the future in wine or bochs, both of which lack real parallel port support when I last tested them.

I'm now on SuSE Linux 9.2 Professional and there are again new developments. Everything is working perfectly again. With SuSE 9.2 I was able to use Konquerer to delete the bad files created when I was using SuSE 9.1 to upload Ogg files. I've moved about 12G of Ogg music with no problems or errors.

Tested against Intrepid. Not able to run audio driver supplied disk under Wine and therefore cannot reconfigure line jacks to allow 5.1/7.1 audio. Not yet tested audio through HDMI or S/PDIF. No other issues found.

This system was released in August of 2006 (I think), and uses the new core 2 Duo, and I believe a new Intel chipset. Not surprisingly, there are some problems using it with versions of Linux released before that time. Ubuntu 6.06 will load on the system, and most functions did appear to work. However, the onboard ethernet controller (an intel gbit interface) is not detected. I was able to get the system working with an older PCI ethernet card. I also tried test release Ubuntu 6.10 Knot 3. This correctly found the onboard ethernet card, so I assume the official 6.10 release will be fine when it comes out. Sound and USB worked fine. The DVD drive seems to work, but I had a lot of trouble getting the system to boot from the drive. I usually had to hit F12 to go to the boot menu, then tell it to boot from the DVD, which would always fail at least once. If I tried it multiple times, it would eventually work. This may be a problem with my system, I find it hard to believe this applies to all systems.

This is an 802.11g wireless PCMCIA card. At present I can only get this card to work with the non-free driver wrapper ($20) from linuxant.com and the Windows driver. Given that, I've gotten it to work fine at numerous unecrypted access points across the US city where I live (Starbucks, Panera, etc). Haven't successfully tested encrypted wireless. I'm running Debian v3.0 unstable with Kernel v2.4.25.

Works great with Fedora and Nvidia drivers for sound and network. Note, AGP is only 4X Pro. SATA is recognized in latest Fedora Kernel.
