Everything works well, except the ALSA drivers (in the latest 2.6 kernels) currently lack a "master" volume switch. You may be able to get the master volume working on kernels 2.6.10 and down (I did, but it wasn't labeled as "master." requires playing around a little), but good luck with 2.6.11+. The OSS driver for this soundcard works well, but support for OSS might not be around forever. Others report success with this card; whereas personally, I'm not going to buy another until the drivers are fixed.
Meanwhile, if you would really like the master volume to work correctly, and can't (or don't want to) switch to older kernels or OSS, search around on the ALSA mailing list for a patch (which I've personally tried, and it works, but needs to be changed for each new kernel)

Platinum version with I/O panel works well with ALSA in Fedora 5, 6, 7, and Ubuntu 6.06.
