Works fine under SUSE Linux 9.0 Pro. The camera is automatically recognized and an icon appears on the KDE Desktop when the camera is plugged into the USB port. Copying files over USB has no issues.

Note: I have had problems with some of the mini CDs written by the camera reading in the computer's CD drive. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the CD session not correctly finalized by the camera, or the filesystem isn't quite right on the CD, or the computer's CD drive itself doesn't like these mini CDs.

Note: I could not get the camera to work at all in versions of SuSE Linux prior to 8.2

Update: I'm now using this digital camera with SuSE 9.1 Professional. The camera works fine in gtkam, and is now integrated into KDE -- the "My Computer" browser (Konquerer) in KDE lets you browse the directories/files on the camera and copy them to your computer.

The previously mentioned CD problem I had was due to the camera being unable to finalize a disc due to not enough free space available. The problem disc was also not readable on Windows. The camera still reads the disc fine, so the pictures can be transferred over USB.

It works, but has some annoying quirks -- partly a result of the camera, and partly the result of Linux.

This camera is working with SuSE Linux 9.2. Note that since kernel 2.6.x has been in use, the USB performance has been awful. While USB communications and downloading pictures still works, some layer of software temporarily chokes (for 10 to 20 or so seconds) between each picture downloaded. This makes it take a loooong time to download a full disk of 100 pictures.

I discovered that discs finalized by the camera can't always be read perfectly by a regular CD drive in a computer (regardless of OS -- Windows or Linux). Every other disc has two or three pictures that can't be read entirely by the PC CD drive. If the disc with the apparent "corrupted" pictures is put back in the camera the files transfer intact over USB.
