Works fine with cdrdao, cdrecord, k3b as of Nov 12th 2004.
BUT firmware updates are exclusively provided for Win32 platforms at this time (firmware images are bundled with flash binary in a single win32 GUI application). For now, the only way to make use of these updates is by either being lucky and finding out how to extract the firmware image from the binary (check with your faviourite search engine) or to use modified firmwares which remove warranty (rpc1.org / The Dangerous Brothers).
