Received the follow messages: 1) Copy the contents of the install directory to a directory on your harddisk. Download the patch 1.08 from Westwood´s web site and install it. 2) I can not get my red alert to work, i copied the install directory to a folder on my harddisc, the I installed the patch. When I after that runned the ra95.exe the games crashed!

Received the follow messages: 1) Use apcompat.exe (comes with win2k support tools found on cdrom), browse to the setup program, tell program to use win98, and run setup), once done game works fine. 2) Have tried both remedies for running Red Alert under Windows 2000, but now success. I installed Windows 2000 from scratch and then tried to install Red Alert (1). I also downloaded the latest patch but nothing. 3) used the apcompat program on the win2k cd to make the setup.exe on the red alert cd think i'm running win95. It froze for a little while so i force closed apcompat but the red alert installation started and installed fine, no "using windows 5.0" message came up. Game runs fine after installing v3.03 patch.

I've got it installed just fine and it even runs fine without using Windows 95 or 98 compatibility setting. You can start a game, but after playing for a few minutes the game always freezes.
