Works with the official ATI FireGL 8800 drivers from ATI's website. DRI works too! OpenGL seems to be working fine.
Tested on Redhat 7.3 and Mandrake.

This card is not officially supported for Linux by ATI. No 3D drivers currently exist, except for the FireGL 8800 drivers (which do not work on newer distributions). Do not buy this card if you plan to use it with Linux.

ATI has now offical drivers for Radeon 8500 and Radeon 8500 LE for XFree86 4.2.0 and 4.1.0. They are available on this page.
