I ran the "cube with cogs and gears" test and got 850 fps!! The ati proprietary driver installed seamlessly and just worked. It sits in the PCI Express x16 main slot in an Intel D975Xbx2 motherboard. The processor is the QX6700, Core 2 Quad Extreme (four cores at 2.66 GHz with 4 MB of L2 cache each). This is 64 bit Ubuntu. I would say that it cannot be overemphasized enough that a main line motherboard is imperative if you wish to see good performance from these high end OpenGL cards. Bob McGwier

It seems that the USB communication to this printer does not work. Alone lsusb does not work with it, and dmesg tells me something like "control timeout on ep0in" But this printer is also not listed on HPs compatibility page: http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/productslj.php\

This is packaged as the Logitech QuickCam IM Plus lsusb reports the Device ID 046d:08d9 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Connect I plugged it in and it worked with Skype and Camorama. In Ekiga, I had to go to Preferences > Devices > Video Devices and change the "Video plugin" setting from V4L2 to V4L Then it worked just fine. lsmod shows these working related to video videodev gspca v4l2_common v4l1_compat Not sure what that means, but the gurus will.

Plugged in and Fedora Core 5 recognised it and auto-mounted it. Filesystem was vfat on receipt, so great for Windows /Linux transfers Only "problem" was the free space was given as 466GB, not 500GB. Maybe a re-format would fix it?

Works great with madwifi drivers under Fedora Core 4. Haven't tried WPA. Apparently some cards with the exact same name may use a different chipset (Europe vs. USA - mine is the USA version).

The Umax Astra 4500 USB is in fact a Avision scanner. It is not recognize by sane-umax backend nether by sane-avision backend.

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn live CD will not boot properly. Gets past splash screen and screen goes blank. Does not even work in "safe graphics" mode.

Can work under drivers for similar Epson printers but ink consumption is 4 times the normal amount. Can wreck ink cartridges under Linux. Info and drivers provided by Epson are not helpful.
