It works well under SUSE 10.0. If you setup dsl via an ethernet card - as in this case -, don't use the Yast dsl module! If your ISP needs authentication, don't use the default internet applet under gnome. Use this program, it works well: http://www.roaringpenguin.com/penguin/pppoe (rp-pppoe)
Just install your ethernet card and choose an address as mentioned in the router setup guide. Using default settings, you don't even need to access the web-based setup of the router.

You can connect to the modem via web-interface at 192.168.1.1
Use the default user name, Huawei and password Bridge for first time login. You can change the password once you have opened the Web-based configuration manager. The user name and password allows any computer on the same subnet as the
MT800u-T to access the Web-based configuration manger. And this password can also be used to Telnet to the device through the Ethernet or Internet interfaces. To change this password, see 4
