Read a comment by Dan Williams(?)...apparently associated with Red Hat...that V2 of the WG511 will be recognized by the OS if it says Made in Taiwan (using the Prism chipset)...but...if it says Made in China...the OS does not recognize it since the chipset was changed to the Marvell chipset. I verified this by running "lspci -vv". Jim

ath_pci module needs to be loaded manually (click connect icon) on 1st use of WG511T but after that configuration is saved on first shutdown of notebook, and the module is loaded automatically on next boot

Netgear FA311 v2 works pefect ubuntu Gutsy v7.10. Recognized the card, no additional drivers needed.

It has a Texas Instruments ACX111 chipset. There is an experimental driver for linux though there is no WEP support yet. Version 0.2.0pre8pf10 works well, some others I've tried don't.
