The camera is recognized by the gspca driver as a Sangha 350k. There is no image, only a stripe of colored dots on a beige background. Tested on Mandriva 2007.1 with the latest dkms-gspca drivers.

Everything working except: JMB361 RAID Controller- SATA port works. PATA port does not work. Issue present in Ubuntu 6.10 and Ubuntu 7.04. Recommended solution is do either get a PATA->SATA adapter for your IDE devices, or do not buy this board for your linux PC.

_All_ supplied hardware works like a charm (I'm using Ubuntu Hoary distribution, with 2.6.10 stock Linux kernel). Only problem it seems it's hibernation (wake up to be precise) -- it hangs ATI proprietary Xorg drivers.

Based on the VIA KT-400 chipset and offering an FSB of 333Mhz, this mainboard supports DDR-RAM up to 400Mhz. It really works out fine and I think it's an excellent purchase, in fact, the real surprise came from the onboard 6 channel sound card (Ensoniq) that was recognized without any problem, for once everything works perfectly strait a way!

Works great with 2.4.18 kernel. Runs Knoppix 3.3 just fine. Do not set "CPU Disconnect" in BIOS however or your PCI write performance will be slow. SB and some auxilliary chips run a bit warm, might think about heatsinking.

Can't install Red Hat, Fedora or Suse with the integrated graphics, Slackware installs but will only work using VESA, The board is fine under all versions with a seperate graphic card installed.

I was able to get RedHat 9 installed having half a dozen tries. Its very unstable after the fact. I suspect something in the VIA chipset but that isn't saying much as it seems to have a role in everything... sound, ethernet, etc.

With Mandrake 9.2 RC1 for AMD64 the following works :
- SATA drive (promise controller)
- integrated Ethernet adapter (I could only test in 100MBit/s)
- my GeForce FX5600 is OK with the nv driver but not (yet ?) with the nvidia drivers.
- USB is OK with both my Dimage Xt and my Zaurus.
- Firewire is untested but the kernel seemed to detect it.

Works under Debian 3.0 (Woody) in vesa mode. However, I recommend to use the nvidia drivers or installing XFree 4.2.1 from http://people.debian.org/~frankie/debian

MSI KT3 Ultra motherboard using VIA KT333 chipset (MS-6380E v1.X ATX mainboard with VIA Apollo KT333 & VT8233A sound chipset). Works fine on SuSE 8.0. Use ALSA for the sound driver.
