I use &quot;mount -r -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera&quot; to mount it, but it will auto-detect if plugged in at boot time. I never tried writing _to_ the xD card in the camera whilst connected; I read this can corrupt the card, but reading from it is all you should want to do anyway!</description>
